“CHIMERA – a hybrid creature, composed of the parts of more than one animal”

This is the first disc version of the successful CHIMERA design.

Utilising all of the groundbreaking innovations of the previous design, we have added thru axles front and rear and flat mount disc brakes.

We carefully chose each tube to fulfill its design requirements and ended up with a selection taken from Reynolds, Columbus, Dedacciai and motorsport suppliers, Pro-formance Metals.

The shape of the carbon monocoque seat mast allowed us to position the saddle where we needed and also provided stiffness at the BB and compliance at the saddle. To fix the carbon to the BB, we had to design and manufacture a 3D printed stainless steel lug that precisely mated with the diamond shaped seat mast.

To allow us to use the large tube profiles required to create the level of drive train stiffness we wanted, a new T47 threaded BB and the cable guides have been kept to a minimum by the use of our bespoke 1x11 groupset.

The 1x11 Di2 drivetrain has created by utilising RideWorks narrow wide rings and BB, SRAM customised crank and TRP disc brake levers which we have milled out to accept Di2 Satellite shifters giving a shifting experience akin to eTAP
