DAVID'S MODERN CLASSIC

David knew exactly what he wanted right from the get go. A classically styled but thoroughly modern road bike that he could ride all year long.

The frame was built from Columbus Zona to give good compromise between weight, comfort and reliability, with a T47 BB to allow easy routing of the disc brake cable internally and British made flat mount dropouts from Bear frame supplies.

We opted for a carbon fork and 44mm head tube to allow future fork changes without any worries of compatibility.

For the components, David wanted to keep it as British as was practicable. We opted for Middleburn cranks from BETD and a set of HOPE hubs, which we handbuilt into some classic looking modern rims. Topped off with Brooks saddle and bar tape.

David chose the purple from an image of a Ferrari which we managed to source.
