Vic's

all-road

Vic caught the bug for custom steel bikes this year when she commissioned a beautiful summer road bike from an Italian builder.

Enamored by the ride quality of Steel she decided that she would like a bike that would work for winter riding and longer days in the saddle.

We selected a range of tubes to work with her weight and riding style and the frame was then designed around her position, which we had from her Clinical Bike Fit at the studio.

The bike was to be light and responsive but be able to take a range of wheel sizes and tyres. The frameset has clearance for 700x38c, 650Bx1.5" or 26x2.1" wheels to allow a wide range of riding choices.

We complimented the utility of the design with hidden mudguard mounts.

Vic and I worked on the colour scheme for a while going back and forth between various mood boards until she hit upon her preferred design.
